The End Sculpture

"The End" channels the classic vintage billboard and scaffold sign structures that have graced roadsides and industrial rooftops across America’s varied landscapes. The piece works as an homage to the many signs that have become obsolete and taken down, particularly the Kentile Floors sign that once towered over Gowanus. The 3-dimensional wall work made into a forced perspective plays with ones perception of the piece and alludes to a more monumental scale. The ubiquitous message has varied implications and can be read into multiple ways, the end of a movie, a road, an era, a relationship, a life.
