About The Artwork
The flight of an eagle in the sky above looks just like a thin line moving, but when it get closer you can see all its majesty and royalty: this is the feeling that I wanted to represent with this sculpture: just a slim line when you look it from the front, but when you come closer the huge opening of the wings is surprising and amazing you. The material chosen is bronze, which gives the sense of strenght and solidity although the lightness of the flight.

Since I was a young boy, I've been living among sculptures, bronze and wax, since my grandfather had a fine art foundry were he continued a working process that is used in bronze sculpture since the middle ages: the lost wax casting. So I grew up in this ambiance, realizing sculptures for important artist and for myself too. The most of my works are realized with leftovers of bronze, that I put together in a shape or in a subject that I visualize from the first moment I see them.
