About The Artwork
This sculpture was not intended to conquer the art-market. I carved it for my garden and for the children passing by. So the aliens should not be frightening monsters, but also not be so humanoid, like in many films. Strange but not dangerous. The material is recycled tropical wood from water engineering, weatherproof and resistant against insects and funghi. How would we welcome visitors strange like these? Would we try to communicate or just capture, enslave or even extinct them like we use to do?
