About The Artwork
This sight specific sculpture was commissioned for the Unravelled Arts exhibition within the National Trust's property, Nymans House & Gardens. This research based project resulted in myself looking into the story of the evacuated children who were relocated to Nymans during the Second World War. 'Slingshot' is made from sycamore and is strategically placed in the arms of a cherub, turning the innocent into impish.
