About The Artwork

The concept of this sculpture is based on geometrical composition of triangles. Three sides of the sculpture are the same, whilst the bottom has an extruded hexagon supporting the pyramid. The hexagon piece has a hexagonal bolt cast into it. The sculpture was cast from very fine and concrete-like plaster inside a one-off mould, which was set on fire and burnt out. This is a small and heavy sculpture, fragile yet strong, with strong references to a grenade.
