About The Artwork
Back in my youth I experienced a lion cub brought in our school by a zoo director. This sculpture combines a woman figure holding a lion cub. It is carved in Angelique wood, a teredo resistant tropical hard wood, recycled from water engineering. The surface isn't treated with oil or wax and will change its color to grey by and by when standing outside.
