About The Artwork

Complementary Stories, is a work in which I try to connect my ideas of Dispersionism(1), with the materiality and the reversal of views of observer/image. For this purpose, I pervert the idea and concept of print, creating a Colourgraph Plate(2), not to be used but in order to be seen. The work is complementary; consists of seven plates that can be shown in seven different ways, each creating an intrinsic continuity between them. 1 - Dispersionism argues that the evolution of art began with early pre-historical paintings; blossoming all over the world through human stable communities, restructuring themselves, when clash with other communities and re-clash back again. Following this point of view, art is change and not stability, not being tied to styles or catalogues. 2 - Colourgraph is a unique art form in and of itself. The artist design and develop a press/plate that enables him to produce original artwork with multi colours in a single run. The original plate is carved from various materials with an illustration board. Due to the process of extreme pressure being applied in the making of the print, the plate has a very limited use. Each Colourgraph is a unique piece of art - in and of itself.

Precursor of Dispersionism argues that the evolution of art began with early pre-historical paintings, blossoming all over the world through human stable communities, restructuring when they found other communities re-clashing each other, thereby refuting the established history of art. He published the first Dispersionist Manifesto in 1977 with only 15 years old, and finally redesigns it in 2002. Since very young he was dedicate to the Arts and the Sport. Began writing at the 14 Years old and painting to the 16 (Watercolours and Chinese ink). He is strongly influenced by the African art and by the work of Salvador Dali.
