About The Artwork
Figure study of a fantasy creature called the hob goblin in the dark, holding a flaming torch and a hunting knife. The hob goblin crouches in the dark as if it heard an approaching sound nearby. I was a fan of Francisco Goya's work when he was tormented by his deafness, causing him to imagine horrors. I used his signature back background and used lighter colors to break the darkness to form a figure of a fantasy creature.
