In this painting I was interested in how images are produced and seen. The Andy Warhol screenprints of Marilyn Monroe are repeat uniform images . I wanted to create the same images in a very different way making a unique oil painting. The images are the same but painted individually in a painterly manner, making each of them different although still recognisable.
