About my work: With influences from Lowry to Botticelli I love painting people, but I don’t want to just paint portraits, I want my people to have a bit of character, a little of the night about them, coming from my dreams my imagination. I’m an accomplished fine portrait artist but my true passion is in colour and how arrangement of colour can produce a different emotional experience of art. I want original and striking paintings which draw the viewer in, which makes them stop…and then see more than the initial work form and colour. I’ve always been fascinated by artists who pushed the boundaries, who experimented who changed the art world, my art explores many styles, from Modernism through Impressionism, Expressionism and Cubism. I want my painting to make a statement, to be timeless, exquisite, of indeterminate origin, the tone beautifully considered with an atmosphere of wonder and intrigue, giving an emotional as well as a visual connection, to look stunning hanging on a wall giving enjoyment for many years to come. COMMISSIONS: I would be delighted to create you a unique work, whatever size you need and / or colour palette.

Thailand
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
