The first painting I sold online with Saatchi was a woman in a red hat. Thanks to a cheeky little sketch I did back in 2010. A drawing that completely changed my life. Later in 2012, I worked extremely hard working in the back of a gallery learning from a couple of (lazy) but great artists. Of course, I didn’t get paid for it more the other way around), but it was a brilliant experience. I opened my studio/gallery and did well selling to tourists, but it was hard work and long hours, so I decided to move to the mainland and concentrate on selling online. I sold many paintings for little money with eBay, but it was a good learning experience. In 2014, I was invited to join ArtFinder, which I did, but I didn’t do a lot with it In 2016, I sold my first painting online with Saatchi Art for $650, and after I stopped dancing around the room, I thought this online business could be interesting. In January 2018, ArtFinder tipped me as one to watch and invest in. It went crazy, and it’s been crazy ever since. I then had a phone call from Singulart in Paris asking if I was interested in joining them, and now I’ve sent my work to 64 countries and for 2023, I’m in the top 10 women to invest in with Singulart.

Thailand
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
