About The Artwork
After my cat died I couldn't stop doing paintings of us together. This was the ninth and final painting of that series. Her name was Dot and she closer to me that I could ever imagine a cat/human relationship could be. I want the painting to feel like a traditional portrait with a modern twist. I also wanted to keep my sad subject bright and sunny to ward off the blues.
