Variations of the Paella with Sauerkraut series, 2014. Collage and painting on studio waste and other types of material. The artist who works with the collage technique is always attentive to the material that surrounds him, as some may interest him in different ways. Especially the papers and the different textures catch her eye: an image in an old magazine, curiously crumpled wrapping papers, tickets, stamps, bags… Such material is added to the studio's waste, kept for years, in the belief that one day they could be used for something. Also colored papers of various textures are bought just because they carry a possibility. The material collected and organized into surrounding compositions is inscribed with the artist's line, such as calligraphy, graphics or doodles. The typographic dimension ends the process of artisanal, graphic and alchemical transmutation of matter into art.
