I am having an opening at a gallery in Joshua Tree, California and wanted to create a few pieces that the locals can identify with. Skull Rock in Joshua Tree National Park is a famous rock formation. I chose to represent it at night because the black velvet enhances the effect of the shadows and gives it a moodier feel.
