About The Artwork

Just as there were once royal painters at the service of kings and emperors, the artist welcomes with honor and devotion the mission assigned by the, Immaculate Virgin of Conception represented at the top of the painting, to become the Painter of the Juramidan Empire and of its message. This painting is a self portrait of the artist pictured with the Holy Mother in the background above him, holding a brush in his right hand and the staff in the left, seated among his masters whose paths meet. “Using art as my voice, of artistic and spiritual inspiration, I wish to spread and raise awareness of this cultural greatness, honoring my roots and devotion, as well as my masters.”- Bê Sadala * Assim como existiam em tempos os pintores ao serviço dos reis e imperadores, o artista acolhe com honra e devoção a missão atribuída pela Virgem Imaculada Conceição que é representada no alto da pintura, em se tornar o pintor do Império Juramidam, retratando a sua mensagem.

“Becoming an artist came naturally as I started to draw my first waves as a child. Above all, I see myself as an admirer of beauty and Humanity in a multidimensional perspective. The closer I get to that pure simple immensity, the more I find my creative impulse. The open-air is my favorite studio, where I feel united with nature, pursuing the perfect light, either under the “impression” of a landscape or the essence of a portrait. Driven by my naturalist soul and sincere visual orientation, I enjoy capturing instant perceptions as embedded reflexes of my own sensorial experience and impact while interpreting real or transcendental world. Keeping an open and emotionally based approach, I allow myself to channel my message and experiences down to canvas. Evoking spiritual or artistic inspiration, honoring my roots, believes, traditions and Masters. The sea, some natural monuments and my spirituality, both part of Brazilian cultural heritage, are very intimate subjects to me as related to my ancestry. As the “Painter of that Empire”, I honorably seek to treasure, spread and raise awareness for such cultural greatness using my artistic voice, humbly willing to ‘color’ life’s darker side. ” ∞ Bê Sadala Artist, dreamer and painter
