About my work: In 2018 the editors of an online gallery tipped me for the top as one to watch and invest in, picked from thousands of outstanding artists and now one of their best selling artists. I love painting people, but I don’t want to paint portraits, I want my people to have a bit of character, a little of the night about them I want them to be unique. A crowd of men dressed up in top hat and tails, each with a story to tell, here we have three gangs something big is about to happen but we are not sure what. Trouble is brewing lots of sidewards glances and stares and whispering behind the hands a few eager to get on with it, but a lot went to hold back and wait and see what happens while some are trying desperately to keep out of the way but don’t want to miss any action. My people paintings have a story to tell, but you will never really know what that story is, but you can speculate. I love painting people, but I don’t want to paint portraits, I want my people to have a bit of character, a little of the night about them. For the conspirators, I like the toughness I want a bully in there but I like him to get his comeuppance (there is always a bully somewhere) and a boss with all his hangers-on, the people who do the bosses bidding. COMMISSIONS: I would be delighted to create you a unique work, whatever size you need or colour palette. Thailand
Ta Byrne is a Thai artist who lives and works on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, just off the south coast of Thailand. Her Oil Paintings . are vibrant, eye-catching and packed with a sense of fun and humour. Ta takes humans as her focal point in her Figurative Painting but abstracts these figures by distorting them and using a cartoonish style to create a more humorous feel. While her work is mostly representational, she incorporates Surrealist elements in many of her paintings, making her one of the most exciting artists working in Thailand today. Ta comes from humble beginnings, living out her childhood on the rural outskirts of Bangkok as a farmer's daughter. During her teen years, she worked sewing shirts in a Bangkok sweatshop, and it was during this time that she met an old street artist who invited her to his studio. This sparked her desire to become an artist, and since then, she has gone on to produce Abstract and Cubist paintings that have received international acclaim from art connoisseurs.
