Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvy4njbJ2d0 Title: "Van Gogh Chair. Painting from the movie "Forrest Gump" 1994". 100% hand-painted by Ekaterina Ostanina (Frida Ostin). Year of creation: 2023, June Size: 50 x 65 cm, 19.7 x 25.6 inch About this painting. I am not a smart. But I know what a lovely films and painting. In one of the most touching films, there was a no less touching painting - Van Gogh's chair! This painting is for everyone who treats this film with warmth and love. And for those who love Vincent as much as I love him. You see, you didn't think you'd find this painting today. But life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. The history of this project. I am an artist and designer, so I have always noticed unusual details in films. So I started watching art in cinema and decided to create my own project "Film and Painting" on YouTube. It is designed to open up a new facet of cinematography to viewers and immerse themselves in a new world of visual culture. I hope that when you see how much detail we overlook when watching films, you will think how much meaning can be put into the film and in general - into the visual environment. It is also a huge challenge for me as an artist. Painting in different styles is laborious creativity. I believe that a person can only grow up when he leaves his comfort zone, so I like to set myself challenging tasks. Many of the paintings that I paint do not exist or are in private collections and film studios museums. Film lovers and artists will obviously never see these paintings live ... I want to give people that opportunity. Film and Painting is my real brainchild because I worked for many years before creating this series of paintings. Many thanks to my husband Mark for the tremendous support and amazing video filming for this project. Without him, this project would not have taken place at the stage of the inception of the idea.

Since childhood, drawing has been my favorite pastime. I need art like air. For me, painting is a way to stop time. Silence. Real magic. Today we are oversaturated with visual information, the speed of our life has become inhuman. In the age of capitalism, consumerism, globalization, and endless noise, a person is lost in an existential search, forgetting that he is a creator. I contrast painting with an ever-running and changing world. Through my work, I try to convey my admiration for color, drawing inspiration from the diversity of nature. My paintings are always colorful and cheerful. I give my preference to the most graceful and noble materials - oil, watercolor, pastel. These materials are for me like the best sonorous orchestra, which helps me play the most beautiful symphony. Let these color paintings become a small door to the big magical world of your soul.
