About The Artwork

The series „be different“ treats the representational function of architecture today. This series shall bring up questions like: What does architecture represent today? Is this architecture representative for the identity of a city? I’ve taken pictures of buildings in Berlin. The "Television Tower" is known as the symbol for the city Berlin. I've chosen another point of view, where telephone wires cross the tower and in combination with a skyscraper. Photography (silver gelatin print from digital), handsigned, with certificate of authenticity This piece of art has been on view in Venice at "CONTEMPORARY VENICE - Architectures of Identities" in summer 2015.

Publicist, Art Critic, Curator and Photographer (freelance) In December 2013 I've bought a camera and I began to take photographs. I'm concentrating on architectural photography, landscapes and staged scenes. I discuss aesthetic problems and questions with the photographies. My architectural photographies show details which don't inform about the well known buildings I'm taking pictures of, but function on the plain surface of the picture. It's about geometry and illusion. I use landscape-photographies to debate natural colors and digital colors. The staged scenes are about performativity, signs of daily life and the function of signs.
