About The Artwork

'Lucky People' is an autobiographical portrait of a circus family. A peak into the universe of the devotees of luck, whose wealth can be counted in smilingwrinkles. An analogue photographic documentary captured through the lens of Mama Colapso, one of the clowns, multi-artist and co-founder of Brunette Bros. Circus. Mama Colapso has followed the escapades of the circus with her camera, portraying the travelling 'Lucky People' who built their business on the edge of the spinning wheels of the society. This photographic portrayal opens up the entrails of a travelling show committed to authenticity. The images document the past five years of a curious group who had the desire and time to drive at 60 km/hr around Europe in battered veteran trucks loaded up to the eyebrows with scenographies of a post-apocalyptic circus.

She has a special weakness for creating universes and characters that question reality and connect the viewer with the memory.
