WIde-angle view looking up at the Lloyds building and the Willis Building, The Lloyd's building is the home of the insurance institution Lloyd's of London, and is located at 1, Lime Street, in the City of London, England. It is a leading example of radical Bowellism architecture in which the services for the building, such as ducts and lifts, are located on the exterior to maximise space in the interior. The building was designed by architect Richard Rogers Only 25 years after completion, the building received Grade I listing in December 2011; it was the youngest building ever to obtain this. It is said by English Heritage to be "universally recognised as one of the key buildings of the modern epoch. The Willis Building is a skyscraper in London named after the primary tenant, insurance broker Willis. It is located at at 51 Lime Street in the City of London. The Willis Building was designed by architect Norman Foster and developed by British Land. It stands opposite the Lloyd's building and is 125 metres (410 ft) tall, with 26 storeys. The skyscraper features a "stepped" design, which was intended to resemble the shell of a crustacean, with setbacks rising at 97 m (318 ft) and 68 m (223 ft). In total, there are 475,000 square feet (44,128.9 m2) of office floor-space, most of which was pre-let to risk management company and insurance broker Willis.

I was a scientist for many years, working in the field of medical research, both in academia and in industry. In late 2004, I left science to pursue my creative interests in photography and the visual arts. I am now a professional photographer living in South East London. My photography business is called White Windmill Photography. I was a member of a Tea Leaf Arts for two years, a co-operative, artist led, gallery in Brockley, Lewisham. I had two solo shows during this time. Subjects that interest me the most, include modern and classical architecture, nature, rural life, landscapes and seascapes. My art practice centres on nature and the passing of the seasons. I have been involved in a long-term project to record a photographic essay of Beckenham Place Park, with an emphasis on different weather and light conditions encountered through the cycle of the seasons. More recently I have become interested in using my photographs to create abstract works and digital art, based on surface textures and patterns of man-made objects, natural found objects and architectural details. I am now a contributing arist at the Misty Moon Gallery, at the Ladywell Tavern, Lewisham S.E London and I have participated in three of their exhibitions.
