About The Artwork

Overview: This new series of mixed media collages has been realised using a mix and match of new and vintage paper (vintage paper ephemera, recycled paper and brand new paper cuts). Materials used: Pens, washi tape, vintage photo and paper on paper. Important notes: • The collage comes inside an A4 sized mounting board (real dimension - 17.7 x 24.5 cm) • This is an original contemporary paper collage. • All the works have clear signs of wear and tear, and needs to be handled with care. • My artworks are based on vintage found objects (photos, postcards, LP covers, etc.), so they are one of a kind.

Naomi Vona (Desio 1982), is an Italian artist based in London. The artist defines herself as an "archival parasite, with no bad intentions". Her works combines different interests like photography, collages and illustration. Her research is focused on altering vintage and contemporary found images, creating a new interpretation of the original shots. Using pens, paper, washi tape and stickers she gives to every image a new life. Every work is basically composed of three elements: her life background, her inspirations and subconscious, that is also the glue that puts all together. Email: mariko.koda[at]gmail[dot]com
