A drive through the southern landscape and a chance opportunity to capture a perfect light with my camera inspired this piece. About The Artwork

Driving through the southern landscape offered a chance to capture a unique light that day with my camera at a field in Tennessee. The lines from the hymn "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus" were called to mind in that instant. The rough canvas crudely stretched across the wood with mylar and a printed image that is distorted and degraded remind us of the temporary nature of our lives and our earth. Something is indeed bigger than all of us. This title and image were used in a series of mixed media works.
