Haris Fazlić is a visual artist born in 1993 in Montenegro, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. His artistic practice spans a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, installations, and collage. His paintings, drawings, and sculptures engage with themes of mysticism and spirituality, exploring the visible and invisible aspects of the human experience. Through these mediums, Haris delves into the complexity of existence, using form, color, and texture to create profound and thought-provoking works. On the other hand, his collages are like poetry—each piece composed of carefully chosen elements that come together to evoke emotion and meaning in a more subtle, lyrical way. While his other works explore the deeper dimensions of reality, his collage pieces allow him to express his artistic thoughts in a more poetic, fragmented manner, creating a unique fusion of visual and emotional expression. Haris’s art reflects his deep engagement with both the material world and the unseen. He invites viewers to contemplate universal themes and encourages introspection, while each medium he uses offers a distinct lens through which he explores the mysteries of existence. After spending time in Nepal and India—experiences that were both spiritually and artistically enriching—Haris’s work evolved, allowing him to connect more deeply with themes of spirituality, nature, and personal growth. Today, Haris lives and works in the Wallonia region of Belgium, an area rich in mysticism and history. It’s a place once inhabited by ancient Druids, with remnants of their ruins still preserving the secrets of past times. The nature, silence, and history of the region have left a lasting imprint on his work. In the stillness of nature, Haris finds space to explore universal questions and answers, which he conveys through his art. Haris Fazlić is an artist who not only explores the boundaries of visual art but also poses profound questions about the very nature of reality, existence, and inner worlds. His art reminds us that beauty can be found in the simplest moments, in encounters with silence, where we discover serenity and balance. At the same time, his work also invites us to reflect on the darker side of life, encouraging us to embrace all aspects of existence.
