About The Artwork
“Smoking kills” intends to create a pair of rebellious metaphor. Flattened facial features announce the reduction and distinction of individual characteristics as well as establishing and nourishing a brand-new symbol and sign. Smoke is the metaphor of blood. Blood is the gender discrimination and stereotypes that female are confronting, and also their identity crisis which is contradictory with the former. Constrained under power, resistance pathetically becomes a weak warning sign.
