About The Artwork
This work was inspired by the beautiful Sugar Pine Forest in Laurel Hill NSW. The forest was completely devoured by recent fires in the area. I photographed the forest in winter some years ago and made this photograph part of the work to highlight the devastation caused. I'm hoping everyone will realise what was lost when those fires came through and not only took out the forests but tragically, human life and our precious wildlife also.
