Takashi Saito is a painter who lives and works in Tokyo, Japan. He had his first solo exhibition in 2005 and has since participated in several solo and group exhibitions. And he has also created commission pieces. His client list includes Nike, Sony, Japanese major publishers and private individuals. Statement - Harmony of Abstraction and Presence: The important aspects of my work are: "a high degree of abstraction" which can stimulate audiences to think freely about my works and a "strong sense of presence", which impacts on the viewer at the moment they perceive my work. These aspects may appear to conflict but my attempts to harmonise them is an important quality of my work. I continue to make efforts to synthesise these two aspects in my work.
