I am an abstract artist born and raised across the vibrant cities of India, where constant movement exposed me to a rich tapestry of cultures, languages, and traditions. Growing up, art didn’t seem like an option—studying it felt like a distant dream. Yet, life has a way of leading us where we’re meant to be. With a background in surface textiles, I developed a keen eye for texture and an intuitive understanding of color, which now shape my expressive, layered paintings.Having painted all my life I finally took the decision in 2020 to persue my art full time, I left behind the structured world of textile design, trained at the London College of Fashion, and embraced abstraction’s untamed beauty. Now, working from my Hertfordshire studio, I paint the in-between—silences that hum, chaos that heals. Inspired by the natural world and the fluidity of the sea, a force that shaped my childhood as the daughter of a naval officer, I translate movement, memory, and emotion onto the canvas. My process involves layering textures, colors, and spontaneous marks, resulting in deeply emotive works that echo personal and collective experiences. From Lockdown Series to Weathered Traces, my work serves as a bridge between past and present, inviting viewers to linger, reflect, and find their own meanings in the abstract forms.
