Clouds Approaching Painting

I live in the Bay Area on the coast. I have been studying cloud formations and colors for years. Although dramatic skies are interesting to paint, the subtle coloring of a white, gray and yellow cloud and its elongated and moving shape is a bigger challenge. Although I usually paint from a photograph, this was painted from memory. I like to paint what I know and see often. Although I've painted many cloud paintings, I have not been able to duplicate this. I've been asked to paint this on a very large scale, but it never comes out exactly like this. I paint portraits and still lives, but my passion is painting abstract landscapes with water. The coastline in this painting is more on the abstract side.
