Painting… in which the inner and the outer man are inseparable, transcends technique, transcends subject and moves into the realm of the inexorable. I live naturally and instinctually in that realm. As a boy, I would draw, I would write stories and I loved woodwork class at school. Later on in life, as an adult, after a period in the world of architecture, I got "married" to the cinema for many years as a film director. Four years ago, I decided to get “divorced” from the cinema to spend time exploring my new great passion: painting. Choosing the brush and dipping it into paint is one of the greatest delights for me. It’s like shouting "Action!" when shooting a scene on set. I am creating worlds on a sheet of paper or on a canvas. The strange conflict that often emerges between what a painting visually appears to be and what it actually says is a total wonder for me. This completely enthralls me. The set of colors, the superposition of the shapes, angles and immediate compositions create multiple visions. I am creating reality from several angles and points of view. I'm a turophile.
