The most difficult part in my painting process is falling in-love with the initial layers. I usually start by mark making with charcoal/graphite then setting it. Then I add washes of colors but as they blend together it is just so beautiful. How could one resist? But in my heart I know it's not done...

Born in the Philippines and immigrated to Canada in the 70s. She was raised west of Toronto and currently living in Ajax Ontario. In 2012, she pursued a life long dream to become an artist. She is self-taught in both oil and acrylic painting. Attended in-person and on-line workshops over the years to enhance her skills. Inspirations are derived through nature's beauty, life's experiences and memories. The prolific colors in her peony gardens inspired her to paint landscapes and florals. But through consistent experimentation with different mediums like alcohol inks, acrylic ink, charcoal and of different applications it later inspired a movement towards abstraction. The freedom to use different tools and the expressive movements in application, ignited a new energy and passion. Her paintings are in both commercial and residential collections across North America. In early 2023, her piece "Dinner with Friends" was selected to be on a wine label for Roche Wines brand VIG wines. (a delicious bottle of Cabernet Franc)
