About The Artwork

September 9, 2023. A 10 year old female bear with her cub was shot today. Why? they said, the bear killed someone. This bear is known to keep to itself and is not agressive towards humans. As I read on, in 2010 this bear was used in experiments. Who knows what they did to the bear. Animals remember just like us. August 24, 2023 DO NOT KILL BEARS. Today, December 7, 2022 Governor Murphy New Jersey OK the hunt to kill bears. On the news tonight saw a bear that was shot with ropes on his feet thrown on a open truck. There are other ways to reduce the bear population but not shooting them to death. To all animal groups, please stop this hunt now and future hunts. Hunters, you will get it back in life for killing the bears. Yesterday, on the news was a family of bears going after salmon down a stream. By memory painted it. Date: 8-15-2018 Medium: Acrylic, Oil on Canvas Board. *** Certificate Of Authenticity included. *** In The New York Post today, 11-17-22 'Heartbroken' Residents outraged after family of friendly New Jersey bear cubs are slaughtered *** As of today June 10, 2020, read in The New York Times, that the government is lifting restrictions in Alaska, so hunters can kill bears. *** Yesterday online, 5-14-2022 A bear called Bobby and her two young cubs. The mother bear had tags on the outside of her ears. Everyone knew of this bear. I think the bear was in Connecticut. Anyway, the bear and the cubs on a persons property. Probably looking for food. The owner shot and killed the mother bear. Why? he said the bear was near his coup chicken. Why didn't the owner scare the bear away. He had to kill the bear? Take all guns away from people. They just love to kill. Horrible. Disgusting human being.

Artist Statement - My main emphasis has been to create my own way of painting. I had the basics, but went into new areas by instinct. Description: From the early 1970's I developed my own style that I called Expansionism--everything I sense I expand (that certain something, hunch, instinct, thoughts, feelings, emotions, beliefs). The inner dynamics (the inner world) of the subject expand beyond its outward appearance, and into the environment (divine matrix, the field, nature's mind, mind of god, quantum hologram). Two places science got it wrong. 1. The space we believe is empty is really not. It is full of a living material, pulsating essence. 2. We may experience inside of our bodies that influence the world beyond through the conduit in this space. *** Note: Another aspect of "Expansionism" When you look at a glass on the table, what happens? The glass expands and is another way of seeing. Elissa is in many private collections throughout the world. She has a wide range of subjects, erotica, fantasy, humor, interiors, landscapes, moods, nature, patterns, people, places, and still life.
