Jens Kunik – Painting Between Abstraction and Organic Dynamics Jens Kunik (*1963 in Bad Säckingen) is a contemporary painter based in Berlin. He studied fine arts at the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts and became a master student under Prof. Michael Buthe. The works from the 1990s presented on this page are characterized by an expressive visual language that combines organic forms with a vibrant color palette. His compositions are defined by a playful dynamism, where amorphous structures interact with monochrome surfaces. The paintings appear to be in a state of metamorphosis, as if the colors themselves are breathing. Kunik creates a tension between controlled form and free painterly expression.
