About The Artwork

In this evocative oil on canvas titled "Moments Diluted in the Immensity of the Static," we are transported to the vibrant intersection of Madero Street and Eje Central in Mexico City, a bustling focal point of city life. The artwork captures the essence of urban activity and the constant transformation of time in this bustling crossroads, where moments blend into the static immensity of the surroundings. On the canvas, a group of people crosses the street, each a unique representation of human complexity. Some figures exhibit duplications, reflecting the multiplicity of experiences and perspectives converging in this urban space. Others display a sort of "glitch," a flash of dissonance amidst the everyday landscape. At the center of the composition, one figure appears to fade away, melding with the environment surrounding them. This melting character represents the fluidity of time and the transience of moments that dissolve into the vast backdrop of urban life. "Moments Diluted in the Immensity of the Static" invites us to contemplate time and reality in the urban context. It reminds us that life is marked by a series of fleeting instants, each full of meaning and ephemeral in its own measure. Through the contemplation of this artwork, we immerse ourselves in the complexity of the human experience and in understanding how time shapes our perception of the world around us.

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
