I’m a professional reminder-er and permission granter who moonlights as an artist, author, and speaker. I enjoy Star Wars, soft t-shirts, and brand new tubes of paint. My mission is to annihilate Adultitis by inspiring, entertaining, and encouraging people to renew their childlike spirit and believe in their dreams. I make art that’s propaganda for what really matters. It often carries a little reminder of something important, such as a feeling, a memory, or a great truth. And whimsy. Whimsy is my favorite. I find inspiration in pop culture, the nostalgia of childhood, and the wisdom of children. My work tends to be optimistic and happy; I’m not cool or trendy enough to be cynical. I mostly make art with acrylic and oil paint, colored pencils, and my trusty Mac. I love incorporating layers of texture to add energy, depth, and humanity. Kim is my wife and partner in crime.
