About The Artwork
I have sailing friends who moor their boat at Bowen Island in British Columbia. They were keen to have a painting for their home. On a recent visit I went sailing with them and took hundreds of photos. Many months later we had an unveiling. It hangs above their fireplace and whoever sits in the chair in front of the fireplace is the captain of the boat. The composition did not lend itself to include the name of the boat so I solved the problem by hiding the name in the painting. On the pulley there is a rainbow with the letters END The name of the boat is Rainbow's End.
