About The Artwork

"Chronicle of an Announced Virtuality" is a research project focused on issues related to catastrophe, erasure and disappearance. These works, composed of an assemblage of images taken from archives and current events, evoke the historical development of virtual reality technologies. The stagings propose a dreamlike, but no less relevant, world from which emerge subjects related to the concept of biopolitics; from the dangers of scientific catastrophes, climate change or the extinction of species. Mixing eras and neighboring science fiction imagery, this series offers a visual synthesis of a world increasingly disconnected from reality. Exterior and interior spaces intermingle like the past and the anticipated future. Spaces that suggest a loss of control over reality, leaving the observer in front of a spectacle that is both tangible and disturbing.
