Suplex City I Painting

As an artist, I'm captivated by the human body, its strength, and the essence of movement. Drawing inspiration from pro wrestling, superhero comics, and 90s martial arts movies, I freeze moments of raw energy and power in my artwork while also revealing the vulnerability behind these strong bodies. With my background in animation and motion design, I bring a unique perspective to my work, capturing dynamic motion and action in each piece, further enriching the storytelling aspect of my art. Texture plays a significant role in my creative process, whether it's the accidental textures that emerge from paint mixing or intentional use of different tools to add depth. Once the textured base is prepared, I enjoy incorporating my characters into these rich surfaces, bringing them to life. I use acrylics and oil pastels in my artwork, for my "action paintings", I also incorporate bright neon colors and fluorescent paint, adding an exciting and energetic quality to the composition.
