This is how the day begins Painting

For me, art is to enter a room of my own. A room where I never really know what´s going to happen. I enter the painting with an open mind. Sometimes the colour lead me into the painting and I follow and sometimes the expression lead the way. I use several kind of media like, acrylic, tempera, oil, ink, pastels, oil crayons and more. A painting can start with a word that comes to me or a feeling that wants to be dressed in colour and shapes. I often end up in a kind of poetic landscape or a memory I want to recreate and translate into colour and form. I return to questions of existential nature and whats it is all about. My curiosity to explore different media too meet my need for different expressions, is the origin of why I also express myself in words. All are very interconnected even though I do not show all the different work that has taken me to the specific artwork. I am convinced that art can transform all kinds of feelings into something significant and that there is always an exchange between the work and the viewer. The work continues to change not only because the viewer is replaced but also by the same viewer. Keeping the creative channel open and becoming sensitive to impressions is a part of being an artist (and a human). I love to meet myself in this inner space that art acceses.
