For a class I was taking at university I had to do a paper on sacred works. In my opinion at the time none of the churches near me had attractive art if they had any at all. I went over to Round Rock, Texas where I knew they had just finished a new location for St.William Catholic Church. I had visited it several years before in their prior location and knew even there they had some nice art. I was stunned at how much art, how tastefully, how overwhelming beautiful, and peaceful the parish was done when they built their new location. This Sacred Heart Of Jesus statute is in front of their very original building which was a settlers chapel that is still used today occasionally. I just loved how the late afternoon light feel over Jesus and his church in this shot. Very powerful image indeed. Digital photo printed on Fuji Crystal DP II matte photo paper framed in a solid black oak frame with a single matte black Passe-Partout (mat) behind Mirogard museum glass. Hello, I'm Rebecca, the founder of Kay's Fine Arts, LLC. My artistic journey began in high school when I discovered oil painting. Encouraged by the overwhelming demand from admirers who sought to purchase my creations, I established Kay's Fine Arts, LLC to share my work with a wider audience. Since then, my dedication to producing high-quality, captivating art has remained steadfast. Welcome to Kay's Fine Arts, where creativity and passion come together to inspire. I am a versatile artist specializing in the creation of photo-realistic portraits, impressionistic depictions of wildlife and botanicals, and abstract compositions. My artistic repertoire also extends to encompassing photography in both digital and film formats. Employing a wide array of mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, and markers, I strive to capture the essence of my subjects with precision and emotion. My artistic journey has been deeply influenced by a profound connection to nature, finding inspiration in its inherent beauty and diversity. From the delicate intricacies of humble earthworms to the majestic grandeur of winter oak trees, and the timeless allure of the human form, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world. Portraiture, with its meticulous attention to detail and quest for capturing the essence of individuals, is a constant source of challenge and fulfillment. Conversely, abstract art offers me the opportunity to explore boundless creativity, allowing the interplay of line, shape, and color to convey nuanced emotions and concepts. My artistic passion was ignited in 1991 when I first encountered the works of Romanticism, Realism, Pre-Raphaelite, Impressionism, and Post-Impressionism. Influenced by masters such as Van Gogh, Renoir, Degas, Monet, J.M.W. Turner, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Jackson Pollock, I continually seek to refine and expand my artistic vision, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of aesthetic exploration and introspection.
