This sculpture is the third of a triptych that describes the dynamics of human relationships. After an initial phase of knowledge, followed first by one in which the two personalities collide, then by another in which we really meet and true knowledge begins and, finally, by the possibility of making a true synthesis on a spiritual and psychological level .
I chose to make this sculpture in resin, to experiment with this technique that offers new possibilities and that is spreading more and more, offering a modern solution to the expressiveness of the sculpture. In this case I preferred the white resin, to give brightness and lightness to the work.
The base of the sculpture is in black painted wood.
The work will be shipped in a box that meets all Saatchi standards.

Marco was born in Bari in 1971, into a distinguished Neapolitan family. He is a descendent of the philosopher Tommaso Campanella. He inherited his skills from his ancestor Emanuele Caggiano, Master sculptor of the 18th.Century Neapolitan school, as well as master of Vincenzo Gemito, and Giuseppe Sciuti, a Sicilian painter, considered to be the most important southern's fresco painter in the 1800s. As a young child he was taken by his family to Canada hence familiarising himself with Anglosaxon culture. Since a young age Marco expressed himself through drawing and sculpture, beginning his studies with the Neapolitan artist Tullia Matania. After finishing his studies at the Liceo Artistico of Naples, he attended the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome and at the same time studied naturalistic illustration with Franco Testa. His first books were published simultaneously with a variety of Neapolitan editors and he attended further Master classes with Adelchi Galloni and Lisbeth Zwerger. In 1998 he began working with Dami Editors ( The Giunti Group) for whom he created many well known characters that have acquired international fame, first and foremost Topo Tip which has sold 10 million copies and been translated into 35 languages ( from this character an animated cartoon TV series has been created by a International Co-production company which can be seen on Rai TV channels and in 65 other countries) . In 2000 he moved to Swizerland where he started to work in the Atelier of the Argentine sculptress Gabriela Spector. In 2003 his statue of Mother Theresa of Calcutta was installed in the Piazza bearing her name. The Mayor and Cardinal of Naples were present along with a large delegation of Indian citizens with the Mayor of Calcutta. Subsequently he created a bronze Madonna for the Posillipo Centre of Naples, set in an ancient Roman grotto on the Posillipo promontary. At the same time he was commissioned for the plan of Christ Risen for the facade of the Church of SS.Trinity in Naples. In 2005 he created, for the Community of Living Ethic in Città della Pieve, a bronze bust of Helena Roerich, wife of the famous Russian painter, Nicholas Roerich. In 2010 He married the journalist tiziana alterio. In May 2019, he created a large personal exhibition entitled "Crisis and Rebirth" in the prestigious setting of the Palatine Chapel of the Maschio Angioino, in Naples.
