Simply put, I am a self-taught abstract artist. Unless you consider watching Bob Ross when you’re 8 years old - art lessons, in which case, I have an honours degree. The truth is ever since I could manage to hold a brush, crayon or a Crayola marker (preferably the scented kind), I’ve loved art. Maybe it’s because I grew up in a small town and had nothing else to do except arts, crafts and cow tipping (is that even a real thing?). I have always found something incredibly tranquil about it. I can paint for hours. Nothing goes better together than a blank canvas, infinite colours and your imagination – and well perhaps a cocktail (or two), if I am being perfectly honest.
What’s in a Name?
In most cases, my paintings are named after lyrics from the songs I am usually listening/dancing to while I paint. In other cases they’re just the result of my bizarre personality (I have a tendency to think I’m funny - my mom thinks so too).
I am also the proud creator of #ArtandFound – a social/art project based out of Toronto. Intrigued? Check out my Instagram to find out more.
