Maya Taneva

Hello, I'm Maya, a sculptor in my early forties. Over the past few years, I've proudly achieved the status of a national artist, supported by N.Macedonia.
The distinguishing factor in my artistic creations is the carefully chosen material in this case, inox wire rope, commonly utilized in heavy lifting industries. It's essential to note that the sculptures I craft boast remarkable resistance, strength, and come with an ISO inox certificate. On the flip side, I've successfully crafted artworks that are not only light in weight but also exceptionally resilient to damage.

Consider the versatility of this material, originally employed in shipbuilding, bridge construction, crane industries, and now making its mark in the world of art. I see myself as a pioneer artist, delving into the exploration and revelation of the true power and strength inherent in this remarkable material.

Blessed to be a mother of a wonderful 10year old girl and have the chance to spend a lot of creative time with my family. They like me, are enjoying fully the process of creating and witnessing how, from simple wire, shapes and worlds are created.

So far, one of my proudest creations is the sculpture 'The Grape,' with the size of 2m by 2m, located in the town...
