Philippa Storey

Originally from Canada, I arrived in Australia in 1987 as a singer/songwriter. To broaden my creative horizons, I started travel sketching in 2019 and quickly took to watercolours and acrylics and then to oils to express my love of the creation and beauty around us. Although having no formal art training until 2024, since 2020 I have done short courses and workshops with Jessica Ashton, Fiona Lowry, and Petra Pinn. I have been a finalist in the Doyles Art Prize twice and the Northern Beaches Gallery Summer Exhibition Prize, as well as exhibiting in numerous art shows, restaurants and boutique venues. In 2024, I started taking art classes at the North Shore School of Art with Mike Lamble and my artwork blossomed – selling 6 artworks in 3 months and being a finalist in 2024 in the Doyles, the Australian Artists Collective, Hunters Hill Art Prize, Northern Beaches Art Prize, Aspire Gallery Art Prize, and in 2025 in the Art to Art Unearthed Art Prize, the Mosman Rowers Art Prize, and the inaugural Lifeline Art Show. My first exhibition is at The Other Art Fair at White Bay Cruise Terminal from May 8 to 11.
