Silke Timpe

I am a self-taught contemporary artist, born 1969 in Frankfurt, that lives and works in Germany.

My passion is the creation of original artworks, that come from heart and have the ability to put a smile to peoples' faces. Fascinated by the colors of spring and summer, I find my inspiration in the beauty, variety of colors and motifs of nature. The portrayal of happiness and lightness is playing a key role in my pieces.

I started painting during my Communication Studies in 1997. Since 2004 I have displayed paintings in more than 20 group and single exhibitions, among others at the Parliament of Wiesbaden, at Kransberg Castle and at the Protestant Church of Bad Homburg.

2019 and 2021 some of my paintings where shown at the Swiss ARTBOX.PROJECT 1.0 and 3.0 while the Swiss Art Expo in Zürich and at the ARTBOX.PROJECT Miami 2.0 while the ARTBASEL ARTWEEKS in Miami.

Since mid-2016 I have specialized in animal portraits. My repertoire also includes portraits of people, landscapes and abstract art.

My clients include both private individuals and companies.

As I like challenges, I enjoy experimenting with different materials and techniques. My favorite medium are acrylic paints in different consistencies - from knife grade...

Since 2004 I have shown my artworks in more than 20 group- and single exhibitions in the Rhine-Main-Region in Germany, among others 2012 at the Parliament of Wiesbaden, 2015 at Kransberg Castle and at the Protestant Church of Bad Homburg.
