Bio Alexis McFarland (LX) is a contemporary abstract artist whose work explores the emotional terrain of the human psyche. Through intuitive portraiture and abstract expressionism, she channels the layered complexity of thought, feeling, and collective experience. Artist Statement I’m drawn to the contrasts within us - the light and dark, the joy and grief, the personal and universal. My work is rooted in emotional transference and psychological reflection, often created in a deeply intuitive state. Painting is a way of translating what I observe and experience into something honest, raw, and human. It’s a practice of release, connection, and curiosity about what lies beneath the surface.
