I was born on November 2, 1978. I paint people, not as idealized figures, but as witnesses of lived time. What draws me most is the human presence inside an ordinary moment: a pause, a gesture, a turn of the head, a silence between actions. These fragments of life become the foundation of my work.

I usually work on a large scale because I want the painting to feel immersive and direct. A larger canvas allows the figure to hold space with greater intensity, and it gives the viewer a more immediate emotional encounter. I am interested in scenes that seem familiar, yet carry something deeper beneath the surface — memory, tension, distance, tenderness, fatigue, waiting.

My paintings are not built around spectacle. They are built around presence. I try to preserve the weight of a passing moment and give it visual permanence. Even when a composition is quiet, I want it to hold emotional gravity.

In my work, narrative is important, but it is never forced. I prefer suggestion over explanation. A painting should leave room for the viewer’s own memory and interpretation. What matters to me is that the image continues to live in the mind after the first glance.

Rather than following a strictly academic path, my development as a painter has been shaped through long-term studio practice, independent study, and focused work with figurative composition.

Selected training background:
— Early 2000s: independent study in drawing, anatomy, and tonal construction in Shymkent
— Mid-2000s: continued practical work in figure-based composition and large-format canvas structure in Europa
— 2010s: workshop-based professional development in narrative and classical figurative painting in Central Asia

My exhibition activity has been centered on figurative and narrative painting, with an emphasis on works that explore lived experience, emotional pause, and the atmosphere of everyday life.

Selected exhibitions:
— 2018: group presentation of figurative works in China
— 2019: participation in a group exhibition dedicated to the human figure in contemporary painting, Italy
— 2021: solo presentation, Moments from Life, Berlin
— 2025: group exhibition of narrative realist painting, Astana
— 2026: solo exhibition, Quiet Episodes, Almaty
