As Consigliere and Interpreter for Mr. Wathier, I have been instructed to humbly tender this communiqué on his behalf. Mr. Wathier remains at his villa in Crapo, Maryland, plotting his revenge against all hotel art, the passive voice, and people who spell their name “Geoff.” I have done my best to translate his intentions into language suitable for public consumption, though several of his more colorful metaphors have been omitted in the interest of protecting the genteel.

This document serves as a field report from the ongoing campaign known as Vandalized Classicism and the MEZCAL Manifesto.

Bash Wathier is a rebellion against the polite, the serene, and all Corporate Gray and Apologetic Blue. His portfolio is a three-chord scream against the stifling quiet of the decorous: a neo-expressionist assault dragging the ghosts of the People’s Champs out of the archives and into a modern racket of rebellion.

Inspired by the raw velocity of early punk rock, Bash paints subjects only to disrupt them. If his paintings had a voice, they would be yelling....
