Kevin McKeown is a Western Australian artist and the creator of Chromatic Impressionism™. Kevin’s art is both an escape from the noise of modern life and an invitation to be fully present. When Kevin first discovered Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, something shifted. He realised that beauty and colour weren’t superficial — they were timeless, essential. From that point on, he knew these would become the cornerstones of his work, even if it took years of experimentation to learn how to bring them forward. Through bold, complementary colours and layered brushwork, Kevin doesn’t try to recreate reality — he amplifies it. His paintings celebrate the way an artist sees the world: light dancing on form, unexpected hues hidden in everyday places, beauty waiting to be noticed everywhere.
