Yelena Revis

Based in Sydney, Yelena Revis has dedicated her practice to a lifelong conversation with color, texture, and movement. For Yelena, painting is a visceral source of energy and her primary mode of expression - a journey that began in childhood and has evolved into a sophisticated mastery of mixed-media abstraction.

Her work is defined by a unique, vibrant style that bridges the gap between classical and contemporary aesthetics. By juxtaposing the slow, luminous depth of oils with the immediate, sharp textures of acrylics, charcoal, and inks, she creates pieces that possess a rare duality: they are simultaneously high-energy and deeply calming.

Inspired by the dynamic shapes of nature, architectural deconstruction, and the 'anatomy' of everyday life, Yelena explores the inner world through a lens of 'whimsical abstraction.' Her process remains open to the possibilities of the medium, constantly seeking to blend reality with imagination.

Ultimately, her goal is to create memorable, statement works that form a profound emotional bond with the viewer, offering a sense of intellectual calm within the complexity of modern life.
