Sophie Vanderfeld

As a full-time artist, living and working in Berlin, I prefer to paint and draw figurative, floral and abstract paintings.
I like to incorporate very different elements, such as graphite pencils, oil pastels and acrylic pencils into the development of my paintings and to work out many fine details.
In my assortment you will find paintings inspired by different eras.

Before I went into art, I worked as a master hairdresser.
I have always been fascinated by the interplay of shapes and colors, which inspired me in my profession as a hairdresser and walks in foreign cities and different landscapes.
I have no direct training as a visual artist.
A coincidence brought me into art, and I fell madly in love with the possibilities of creating a painting from different tools.
I am very grateful and humbled for every day to be able to practice this profession as a full-time artist.
